My Aiga
I am a first generation Samoan-American. I was born here in the states whereas my parents were born in American Samoa. In Samoan "aiga" means family. To me, thats all I have in this world. My grandfather was a high chief in our village back home. The high chief is the most highest royalty in Samoa. I did not personaly know my grandfather but I hear he was a very strong and loving man. My aunts and uncles were held to some of the highest expectations being kids of the high chief. The generation of kids they had is where I fall under. Being cousins, we were more like brothers and sisters. Our parents taught us that your family will always be there for you and that has stuck with us even today as adults. We go through good times and bad. But as a family, theres no such thing as bad times. I just hope that my grandfather can look down from heaven and be pleased with his aiga.
Mixed Martial Arts
MMA stands for mixed martial arts. Since I was little, I was always fascinated with martial arts. I used to watch Bruce Lee movies and films like bloodsport. Mixed martial arts is a combination of many fighting styles. Boxing, judo, wrestling, tae-kwon do, jiu jitsu, muay thai etc. My father used to watch a pay per view title by the name of, the ultimate fighting championship or ufc. These men would bring their different style of fighting to test who's was better. I was hooked from the first time i watched it with him. Some would call it human cock fighting, but it's more than meets the eye. The respect from this sport is like no other. Two men fighting their heart out, then embracing each other after a well fought battle. From being a one style against another style type of fight, guys started training in other styles to get better which eventually snowballed into mixed martial arts.

Faatoia Imo
My name is Faatoia Imo. I go by Junior (it's easier to pronounce huh?). Im 19 years old and am currently attending Cabrillo Community Colloge. I attend with my little sister Afi. I'm originally from Spokane, Washington. I moved out here to go to school and become closer with my family. I enjoy all types of sports. I'm very fascinated in elite combat sports including boxing, jiu jitsu, muay thai etc. I currently live in Marina. I'm attending Cabrillo to earn my 2 year degree in accounting. Math was never my strong point in school so i thought it would be a great challenge to myself. I have a baby boy coming due by the end of December, (Merry Christmas). His mother's mom and I don't really see eye to eye due to the age difference I guess. Besides that, Im just a normal kid.
